A look at how a day at corporate day out at Wimbledon could benefit your company.

Wimbledon is on the way and there is set to be a flurry of interest from the British public. Tennis has a difficult time in England. The main reason for this is that for the majority of the year the weather is not great and tennis is perceived to be a fair weather sport. When summer comes Britain becomes gripped by the game and then they choose to go out and play the game that they have been watching on TV.

Another reason Britain struggles to achieve high rankings amongst the world's best players is that there are very few facilities in the UK that cater for Tennis. Grass courts are extremely expensive to run and councils will not fork out the money to keep them going. As a result there are not many courts available for the general public. Those people that want to play often have to go to private clubs and pay to use their facilities. These high costs make it difficult for young people to afford and as a result not many children get interested in the game.

Although it has not reached the levels of interest in the UK that I suggest it could, Tennis is nevertheless one of the most popular sports in the world. Many suggest that it is one of the top three most popular sports in the world. The reason's it is so popular is that it is one of the only sports that has as much interest to men and women. It is equally popular with each. Because there are so many people interested in the game worldwide it is a surprise that so few people in the UK play the game.

Another appeal of the game is that it appeals well to spectators so that even people that have never played the game enjoy watching it. More recently the game has reached unprecedented levels of professionalism.

Players now command enormous fees and the prize funds have swollen to millions of pounds. The influx of money has had the knock on effect of adding glamour to the game. The women players are beautiful and adorn themselves with the latest fashions. This in itself has increased the appeal of the game and even more so for non-players that are more interested in the off field antics of the beautiful players than their success on court.

The game of tennis has typically been a middle and upper class sport and as a result the trappings of the game have always been of a high standard. The game is synonymous with class. Spectators choosing to dress up to watch the games and tennis events have always offered good dining and high quality drinking. As a result it has become the sport of choice for businesses that want to impress new clients to seal a deal or thank their own staff for a job well done.

Wimbledon is the most prestigious of all the tennis tournaments in the world. It is the oldest tournament and has a firm place in the hearts of the competitors that see it as a place to make a name for themselves rather than simply a pay cheque. The high level of prestige associated with the tournament has made it an extremely popular event for corporate hospitality functions. Wimbledon is in easy reach of London and tickets are highly sought after. Britain gets gripped with Wimbledon mania and everyone wants to be part of the excitement.

The magic of Wimbledon is sure to rub off on your delegates or business associates so it is a great option for your corporate hospitality event. People never refuse the option to go to Wimbledon and with a wide range of quality hospitality options it is a great event to associate your company with.
